Psychodynamic Therapy: This is an insight-oriented therapy that focuses on working with the unconscious processes which influences a client’s daily functioning and behavior.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things like people, situations and events. CBT helps to identify, analyze and change couter pproductive behaviors and thoughts, which in turn helps to alleviate feelings of depression and anxiety. A good and trusting relationship with the therapist is essential for effective CBT. This collaborative effort between therapist and client assists clients to change because they learn how to think differently and they act on that learning.
Dialectical Behavioral Theapy (DBT) Incorporates the learning of skills in mindfulness meditation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance and emotion regulation.
Client-Centered Therapy: A form of interpersonal psychotherapy which creates a comfortable, non- judgmental environment enabled by genuineness, empathy and unconditional positive regard.
